Our Story

Arewa Female Youth Ambassadors (AFYA) is a Non-Governmental Organization that focuses on helping Northern women, the less privileged, providing lasting solutions to drug abuse, domestic violence, girl child education, women trafficking, and prostitution among other social vices bedeviling our societal development. AFYA has structures across the 19 Northern States of Nigeria with a vibrant Kebbi State lady, Hanan Isah, as a founder.

Founder’s Bio

As a leader in AFYA, Hanan has dedicated her life to providing hope to thousands of households in Northern Nigeria with her projects in women empowerment, feeding the vulnerable, and helping drug victims.

At the first-ever Youth Connect Conference, in Northern Nigeria, Hanan was listed as one of the Panelist to speak on Gender-Based Violence in Africa in 2019.

Hanan is a Research Enthusiast with a special focus on Leadership Development and a graduate of Federal University Birnin Kebbi.

She was nominated to participate in TEDx Conference, Argungu in 2019, a meeting for thought leaders and experts.

Recently, she was featured on Kebbi Daily News, Kebbi State’s No. 1 Media Agency where she discussed “Strategies for ending Gender-Based Violence in Africa”.

Hanan is also a volunteer at GIVFREE AFRICA, an NGO dedicated to helping vulnerable households and victims in Africa.
